Your students are sure to love these fun activities that will enhance their knowledge of the Government & Civics topics. The interactive websites could be used on Ipads or laptops so all students could complete an activity independently.

Local Government
- How Does Government Affect Me?: This online interactive activity would be wonderful for teaching students about the local government and why it is important to them! This can be put on the interactive board and be beneficial in teaching a whole class lesson!
- Step Inside the Voting Machine: At this online interactive activity, students can step into a voting booth and learn about what voting really means. They will also look back at the history of voting. This could be used as a guided practice, or center activity.
- LGA: This section of the website, will assist teachers understand how teaching about Local Government links into the curriculum and some of the teaching strategies that will assist.
- Civics & Citizenship Education: There are a numerous amount of resources on this one website for teachers about teaching civics and citizenship!

- Student's & Teacher's Rights & Responsibilities: This is a list of students and teachers rights and responsibilities. This would be great to incorporate in a lesson so students could really understand rights and responsibilities as a citizen by comparing it to their rights and responsibilities in school.
- Citizenship Lesson Plans: There is a wonderful variety of lesson plans at this website. There is a wonderful one over rights and responsibilities that would be really beneficial when teaching this concept.
- Constitution for IPAD: Free app that students can utilize to look at and read the actual constitution.
Democracy
- Democracy Around the World: This would be a cool lesson plan to show students how democracy is alike and different in other countries compared to the United States.
